Mogodu Tripe


Mogodu, an African dish with a unique taste and texture.


  • 1kg tripe (beef)
  • water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of paprika
  • salt


  1. Tripe should be washed and chopped into small pieces. Bring the tripe to a boil, then reduce to low heat and cook for three hours.
  2. To taste, season with pepper, salt, onion, and paprika.
  3. More water should be added. Simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
