- 450 g of ground beef
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 egg
- 2 slices of dry bread
- flour or bread crumbs
- sunflower oil
- spices of your choice
- salt, pepper, parsley
- Vegeta seasoning to taste (optional, but recommended)
Notes: You can also make them with chicken or turkey meat, but they are going to be much drier.
Mix the minced meat with the beaten eggs. Add all ingredients and mix well with hands.
Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
We use stale bread for a day or two that we soak in milk before adding it to the mixture.
It is very important to squeeze the bread well to drain all the milk before adding it to a mixture.
You can play around and add the spices you like (powdered chile, sweet paprika), but salt and pepper wanted.
Unlike parsley and garlic, crushed or very finely chopped, the onions must previously be fried in oil until transparent.
It is important to knead the mixture well with your hands so that all the ingredients mix together
Make the pancakes tighter.
Leave the mixture for at least half an hour before frying, so that all the ingredients are well absorbed.
Heat the oil in a deep frying pan.
Form balls from the mixture and spread them with your hands. Select its size based on your preference.
I like the skinny ones and the size of the palm of the hand.
Dip in flour and fry in hot oil over low heat.
Heat on each side until golden brown.
Served with mashed potatoes and assorted vegetables or salads.
