Easy Apple Pie French Toast
Today’s recipe was inspired by some of my favorite childhood (and adult) memories! In fact, it almost looks like an apple pie because the slice is rolled up like a “pie”. The best part is the filling that is made with some fresh apples. I love to use Applesauce in my recipes because they bring out such a wonderful flavor. But when I’m using apples to make this French toast roll-up dessert, I am going a little extra on the applesauce part to get some moisture in there.

- ¼ cup Water
To assemble:
- 6 slices of Toast Bread
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 Egg
- ¼ cup Milk
- ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
- Caramel Syrup for dipping
Instructions:
- On medium heat for 10 minutes, cook all the filling ingredients in a pan or until the apples are cooked to taste, then leave to cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the egg, milk, sugar, and Vanilla Extract.
- Fill each side of the bread with the filling. Roll it up tightly.
- Dip the rolls in the egg mixture.
