Description

Gooey Caramel Apple Pie Bombs made with soft biscuit dough, warm apple pie filling, melted caramel, and a buttery cinnamon sugar coating. A quick, cozy dessert perfect for fall, holidays, or easy family treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough, 8 biscuits
  • 1 cup apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces
  • 8 soft caramel candies or 3 tablespoons thick caramel sauce
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons cream cheese, cut into small cubes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, or preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
  2. Chop the apple pie filling into small pieces so it fits easily inside the dough.
  3. Flatten each biscuit into a small circle using your hands or a rolling pin.
  4. Place a small spoonful of apple filling in the center of each dough circle, then add one soft caramel candy or a small amount of thick caramel sauce.
  5. Bring the edges of the dough up around the filling and pinch tightly to seal. Roll gently into a ball shape.
  6. Place the sealed dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet or in the air fryer basket.
  7. Bake for 14–16 minutes, or air fry for 8–10 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Brush the warm apple pie bombs with melted butter, then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  10. Serve warm with extra caramel drizzle, vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the dough or the caramel may leak during cooking.
  • Seal the edges tightly and place the bombs seam-side down for best results.
  • Chop the apple pie filling finely for easier sealing and better texture.
  • For a richer version, add a small cube of cream cheese inside each bomb.
  • For extra crunch, add chopped pecans or walnuts to the filling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer or oven for the best crispy texture.
